Everything pub owners and staff need to know about running WhosOnNext - from your first QR code to managing your subscription.
WhosOnNext gives your pub a digital queue for the pool table - players scan a QR code, pop themselves on the list, and get notified when it's their turn. No more chalk marks on the wall or shouted arguments about whose go it is.
After you sign up, you'll get a welcome email with your venue's QR code and a link to your table manager - that's where you print QR codes, add extra tables, and manage your subscription. Keep the admin passkey from that email safe; staff need it to get in.
Your table manager lives at a link like whosonnext.uk/pubs/your-pub/tables - it's in your welcome email. Enter your passkey to unlock it.
From there you can print a QR code for each table you run. Table 1 shares its link with your original sign-up QR, so anything you've already stuck up still works. Add more tables any time from the same screen, and print new codes to match.
Players scan the code, join the queue, and see their position update live - no app download needed on their end.
New venues start on a free trial. Once the trial ends, billing switches to your ongoing plan automatically and renews each month unless you cancel first.
All payments are handled securely by Stripe - your card details are never seen or stored on our own servers. Stripe emails you a receipt automatically after every charge, so you've always got a record for your accounts.
If your subscription lapses or is cancelled, your venue's queue pages and table manager stop working for staff and players until you resubscribe.
Need to update your card or have a billing question? There's no self-serve portal for that yet - just get in touch and we'll sort it directly.
You're always free to cancel - no calls, no forms. It's done from your table manager:
Changed your mind before that date? Just reply to the cancellation confirmation email and we'll switch you back on - no need to sign up again.
Lost your table manager link or passkey? Contact us and we'll help you find them.
We collect only what's needed to run the queue and your account: your pub name, contact email, and admin passkey when you sign up, plus whatever name or alias a player chooses to enter when joining a queue. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe - we never see or store card details.
We don't sell your data or share it for marketing. It's only ever passed to the small number of providers needed to run the service itself (like Stripe for payments), and under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, or delete the data we hold about your venue at any time.
WhosOnNext is billed monthly with no long-term contract, renews automatically until you cancel, and is provided as-is without guarantees of uninterrupted uptime.
If this page didn't answer your question, just drop us a line - we read every message.
